About Christian Grey Hawkins:

My work has a distinctly analogue and somewhat nostalgic character as an authentic result of the processes I use and the inspiration I draw from. From using physical media for my illustrations and typewriting each major draft of my written work – to rumors that I am the reincarnation of a relative who died in 1930 and being the eighth generation of my family to live in the Colorado Rocky Mountains – everything I produce is coming from somewhere unique. I live with my wife, Eisner-nominated Lily Williams, in a small mining town not far from my namesake mountain, 14,278 ft Gray’s Peak. We frequently collaborate on projects, striving to form a reputation as a strong storytelling duo. My work has been shown across the country, including at the Denver Art Museum and the Society of Illustrators in NY. I’ve also daily-driven a 1968 Ford Falcon for over a decade now, something everyone in my life wishes I would stop doing for my own safety.
