Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy:

Jacket for John le Carré’s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

In John le Carré’s book set during the Cold War, out of five British special agents there are two who are traitors. All five agents have codenames, but the identity of the traitors and their code names are obscured until the end of the book. In the book’s title their names are replaced with the word “Spy”. This jacket design mirrors that creative decision by obscuring their names, while the traitor under his obscured name hands a file around the edge of the dust jacket to the inside flap where a Russian agent waits.

The illustration for this project is original and created with physical media.
