DR. MARTENS IN NORDSTROM
BRIEF
Come up with an engaging and original way to convey the essence of Dr. Marten’s new “bouncing soles for bouncing souls” campaign inside of several Nordstrom stores.
SOLUTION
This project went through a large number of revisions, and covered many possible executions during that time. Everything from Teletubby-like green spaces with portals, to mirrored cloud rooms designed to create a floating sensation, and eventually surreal amber acrylic forms designed to fill the activation space with a warm glow – even without access to power.

The project was brought to us by Dr. Martens with involvement from Nordstrom, but few concrete details. We went through several rounds of revisions before it was eventually put on ice.
ATTEMPT NUMBER 2
The project was revived several months later and we went through numerous rounds of revisions. Before it could be produced though, the overall idea of a Dr. Martens installation in Nordstrom’s space was canceled by Nordstrom... Ain’t that just the way. I’m showing this work anyway because I like the drawings I did for it.
